Mommy and the birthday boy

Dress up time

I came out to have breakfast the other morning and was greeted by princess Kayden and knight Luke. Lately, they've been playing dress up a lot. Luke has a constuction worker and cowboy outfit, too, so sometimes the combinations can get pretty interesting (Cowboy wearing a toolbelt and carrying a sword).

To show that we are not completely lame parents and do, in fact, take pictures of our kids, here are some other pictures going back to Easter and the air show we went to in April.

Kayden and Luke "best buds"

Luke fell asleep during the Thunderbirds which was what we'd been waiting to see all day. I didn't think anyone could sleep through that kind of noise, but he definitely proved me wrong.

Luke's favorite thing

If you ask Luke what his favorite thing is, he'll say "pwaying with Noah" or playing with Noah for those of you who don't speak 3 year old

Easter egg hunt

Counting up the money

The kids all decided how they would share the dollhouse...each person gets a side. I don't know how Noah ends up with the best side all the time. Maybe he has some magical power of persuasion over Kayden and Luke...or more likely he threatens to drool all over them if they get near him.

Noah's favorite toy

We took the kids up to Tallahassee this past weekend to go to the FSU game. We stayed with our friends, Andy and Kristen, and had so much fun visiting with them and their two boys.

This is Andy and Kristen and their two boys, Drew and Knox. They fearlessly allowed the five of us to crash at their house this past weekend. Thank you Andy and Kristen!

Snack Time

Football is fun...and funny! Actually, losing three times in a row to Wake Forest is kind of humorous, but I think Luke is laughing from the sugar high from all those dip'n dots.

Still smiling at half time

Even though it was a really late night, Kayden and Luke showed they were true fans (as long as the cotton candy and ice cream kept coming). :)

The ferocious beast

Of course, Andy and Kristen failed to mention the ferocious beast that lives in their backyard and attacks little children who go down the slide.

Talking Strategy

"You distract him while I go around the back and corner him."

Kayden gets him on the run

Victory!

Kayden and Drew were able to tame the beast, a.k.a Rex.

Smiling contest

And the winner is....Luke! Kayden and Drew's smiles both look a little forced...actually, Kayden looks just plain scary. :) Although, I think Noah was cutting off the circulation in her arm, so maybe we'll give her a break.

Knox and Noah are exactly one week apart.
