Halloween

We went to our church's "trunk or treat" with the kids for Halloween. A bunch of the church members take their cars/trucks out to the track field and pass out candy from their trunks. It was a fun night for everyone. Kayden dressed up as a butterfly fairy, Luke was a race car driver, and Noah was a dinosaur.

Going down the big slide

As you can see, Luke's costume didn't make it through the night. He wore it just long enough for everyone to say what a cute race car driver he was and put some candy in his bag. :)

Lauren and Will's birthday party

Picture time with cousins and friends.
Yes, I have a true gift with children....just show them the fish face.
...watching everyone go down the slide.
Kayden going down the slide.

Watching Lauren and Will open their presents

I think all the kids soaked through Chris and Staci's carpet...maybe we should have done presents before swimming? Although trying to hold back a pack of kids from a jumbo blow up slide might have been a worse idea.
Okay, so I said I would show some pictures of Kayden, Noah, and me at the zoo the day Luke went to work with Daddy. I'm only a few months late....so here they are.

Pony ride

First time on a rollercoaster

She looks so serious! Although, she was a little disappointed that mommy couldn't come with her for her first time ever on a rollercoaster...well, someone had to stay with Noah.

In memory of Michael Jackson, Luke has been sleeping with his glove on every night (just kidding). Actually, he just recently stopped sucking his thumb, and this helps to remind him.
He keeps telling me he's big like Daddy now. :)

Going to work with Daddy

Chris took Luke down to the job site this past week, and I haven't stopped hearing about it. He got to ride in a real backhoe and even dig out some dirt! He tells everyone we see about the mini backhoe, the skid steer, steam rollers, and grater he saw. I took Kayden and Noah to the zoo the same day, so I'll post some of those pictures soon.

Guess who's walking?

...actually Noah's been walking about a month now. I just figured I'd keep up with the expectations I've set and post it a month late. :)

Time to eat!

We had Chris' family and some friends over for July 4th for a cookout. It was the perfect day to lounge by the pool and stuff your face.

All the cousins eating yummy hot dogs

I believe this was Chris calling me "oinky oinky" for how much dessert I consumed. We had an overabundance of dessert and I felt it was my job to taste all of them.

Bath time

Pool time

Swimming with Nana is fun!

Luke turned 3 on June 1st. We had a small party with Nana and PopPop and Chris and I took him to the zoo the next day.

Present time!

Surprise! more cars and tractors.

present from big sis

Luke is hugging a little doggy that Kayden picked out and gave to him. He still sleeps with it almost every night.

Tractor Birthday!

E
Every year the kids get to choose what kind of cake they want me to make for their birthday. Luke wanted a tractor cake this year, although he's also told me what he wants for the next few birthdays as well...backhoe, steamroller, and bulldozer.

Tractor Cake

This was the tractor cake we made for Luke.

We had Nana and PopPop over for the birthday party.

First piece of gum

Okay, technically, he's had two other pieces before, but this is the first piece that didn't end up in his tummy. We told him after he swallowed the first two pieces that he would have to wait until he turned three to try gum again, so this was the big day.

Lowry Park Zoo has a great aquarium for viewing the manatees. It's usually one of the kids' favorite things to see.

This manatee kept coming over to where Luke was to say hi.
