We rented bikes for the day and had fun riding around the island.

Luke loves to swing!
...and swing!

Sharing Ice Cream

Kayden decided she would share her ice cream with Luke only if she could feed it to him...he didn't seem to mind.

We just recently watched Chris' brother, Bill's three kids for a week while he and his wife, Wendy went to Hawaii. I must say after having all five for the week, it almost seemed too easy to only have two kids to take care of. We had such a fun time with all of them. Kayden didn't want to say goodbye when it was all over.

The pool was the main attraction for most of the week. The kids went in just about every day. Of course, getting them to pose for a picture at the same time was impossible.

Building a Fort

The girls decided to make our living room into a fort...they did a pretty good job, huh?

The Three Musketeers

We took all the kids to Busch Gardens on one of the days. Kayden had so much fun with her cousins, Hannah and Elizabeth. They entertained her all week long...I thought she was going to go through withdrawal after they were gone.

Sleeping Beauty

Luke crashed after a long day of fun at Busch Gardens. As long as he has his special blankie, he can sleep just about anywhere.

We look pretty good with five kids, don't we? Okay, I guess there are only four kids...Luke was still sleeping in the other stroller.

MacDill Air Force Base in Tampa just recently had their annual air show. I'm not sure who came up with the idea (not me), but we decided to camp at MacDill overnight and go to the air show the next day. The entire time there was pretty comical. Actually, we had a great time, though we really appreciated having our own beds to go home to at the end of the day.

Potty Break

We just potty trained Kayden, so camping was our first big test. She did great the entire time...no accidents. We did have to pull over on the way to MacDill for a potty break, as you can see in the picture. It was quite funny, but atleast she didn't go in the truck.
Chris and I really enjoyed our first camping trip with the kids. Yes, we slept on the hard ground and got very little sleep, but it was definitely memorable. I think knowing that we would get to go home and sleep in our own bed the next night probably helped. (By the way, that small tent right behind us is where Luke slept...I'm not joking! We couldn't all fit in the bigger tent with the pack'n play, so Luke got his own tent for the night). :)

This is the inside of our cozy little tent. Actually, the kids were both very happy for what little sleep they got!

Hi everyone! Sorry it's been sooooo long since we've updated our blog. Here are some pictures to catch you up over the last month or two. Hopefully we'll be better from now on.

Stuffed Animals

I couldn't believe they actually let us do this to them. :)

Bathtime with Luke

Luke and Daddy

Fun at the Park

We actually got Kayden to smile for this one!

Eating Oranges

Chris recently picked a ton of oranges at a grove nearby and brought them home. It's been so nice having fresh squeezed OJ in the mornings...plus Kayden and Chris love making silly faces with the peels.

Thanksgiving Day

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving. We spent the day with Chris' parents and his brother, Bill and his family. This was everyone minus Luke (who was napping...he didn't even eat any turkey). God has blessed us tremendously and we are very thankful for all of our family and friends. Mostly we are thankful for God's grace to us in His death on the cross. Without Him, we are nothing. We love you all, and hope everyone had a blessed Thanksgiving!

Happy Boy

I've never seen a happier baby...Luke's just always smiling. :)

Trick or Treat!

Kayden really got into trick or treating this year...Luke was just along for the ride. In case you can't tell, Kayden went as a duck and Luke was a tiger.

The Air Zoo

One of the places we went on our vacation to Mich. was the Air Zoo. It's a huge building with tons of old airplanes, some fun little rides and cool flight simulators. Kayden loved the kids area. What do you think?...Kayden Ritchie, U.S. astronaut?

Kayden the pilot

I decided to let Kayden pilot the plane. She took her job very seriously...we couldn't get her to look at the camera.
Kayden didn't enjoy the history of the airplanes so much as wanting to climb on them and everything else. In this picture, you can see one of the planes they used to take on aircraft carriers during WWII. The wings would actually fold up to save space so more planes could fit.

More giraffe pics

Here are some more giraffe pictures for those of you who didn't get enough.

Binder Park Zoo

We recently took the kids up to Michigan to visit family (yes, we've been told we're many things from brave to crazy to travel with two kids under the age of two.) We had such a wonderful time visitingwith everyone, and we even got to see some of the sights. This is Binder Park Zoo. The zoo is known for having the largest giraffe herd in the country, and you even get to feed them!

Feeding the goats

Kayden had so much fun seeing all of the animals at the zoo...even the smelly goats!

Feeding the Giraffe

The highlight of the day was definitely feeding the Giraffes. (Did you know they have an 18 inch tongue?...just a little trivia for any of you who care.)
